“REWILDING”
A term used in nature conservation describing the process of returning the land back to its natural state of being.
What is the Rewilding Project?
We blend the intuitive work with horses and the therapeutic effects of acrylic painting for this unique experience like no other. Walk away with newfound knowledge in both horses, art and maybe even yourself….
Or In other words, come have fun hanging out with horses and make some cool paintings!
What does Rewilding mean to us?
An exploration process to:
Reconnect with our inner being
Connect with the world and those in it
Find our roots, a natural and profound sense of grounding
Discover and understand our sense of self and identity
Meet Your Facilitators
Isabelle Styles first met Michaela as one of her students. In the years following, Isabelle has learned to embrace Michaela’s teachings, even beyond working with horses. The two now seek to combine their respective areas of expertise into an experience that might inspire others with the same passions. A hands-on experience of knowledge, reflection, and growth.
A Note from Michaela
I am beyond passionate about this work because we are living in a world where we are all so connected and yet we have never been more disconnected. We are shut down, shut off, desensitized, and removed from the world as well as ourselves.
Horses have a way of asking us to pull off the mask and show up at a root level!
In my work with people and horses, it is so fulfilling to witness a person begin to tap into their OWN light, find their OWN voice and show their soul.
I invite you to come and deepen your sense of awareness, find your strength, and discover what connection means to you!
Find out more About Michaela
An aspiring veterinarian, full-time student, and professional artist. Enamoured with animals since a young age, and horses in particular, she took great pains to hone her artistic skills in capturing them. In recent years she has been expanding her reach, selling at markets, teaching one-on-one, and working with the Calgary Stampede. With local, Ashley Gaboury as her first art mentor, Isabelle has developed a semi-realistic and colourful art style that is reminiscent of classic oil paintings; despite her use of acrylic mediums.
